Due to family health issues, this event has been cancelled.   When possible, we will organize a future date.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your understanding.

How about a networking night with a twist: a multi-lingual one

Why socialize in just one language when we could do so in more? There are so many of our members who can speak not only 2 but 3, 4, or 5 languages.  On Thursday 5 October, you will have an opportunity to participate in a multi-lingual networking night from 7:00-9:00 pm.

How it works:

When you register for the event, we will ask you three questions:

  1. What language(s) do you enjoy socializing/networking in?
  2. What language(s) would you like some support socializing/networking in?
  3. What language would you be willing to provide support in for others?

When you arrive, we will first begin in English as one large group.

We’ll then divide the remaining time into rounds, to give people a chance to socialize in more than one language or remain speaking in the same one.

Sometimes you’ll be with someone who may need your support in speaking and in another round, the roles will reverse and you may find yourself with someone else who will be supporting you.

Event Host:

Rose Travers – School owner/language trainer

Rose has over 25 years experience teaching English in the Zurich area.  When teaching on a private basis, she loves guiding students to figure out what strategies they can adopt to accelerate their language learning.

For groups, she prefers to facilitate conversation by reading the mood and changing dynamics to get people feeling at ease to ensure the communication flows.  She has a knack, even when she’s not teaching, to get conversations going.

She loves organizing events for the Zürich Networking Group and getting ideas off the ground.
